Ebonyi State Governor, Deputy heads to Appeal Court over removal from office

The Federal High Court ruling, which ordered for their sack from office on Tuesday was today appealed by the Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi and his deputy, Kelechi Igwe.

According to the notice of appeal in the suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/920/2021 and filed at the Abuja Judicial Division of the Appellate Court, the duo disagreed with the entire judgement of the lower court which ordered their sack for defecting to All Progressive Congress (APC) from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The governor and his deputy listed eight grounds of appeal against the lower court’s judgement.
