Banditry: Zamfara citizens directed to buy guns

•Defend themselves too

Zamfara citizens have been directed to obtain guns to defend themselves against the bandits.

The directive is contained in a statement issued by the Zamfara State Commissioner for information, Ibrahim Magaji Dosara, who said the directive was a result of an increase in the activities of bandits in various parts of the State and the government’s commitment to ensure adequate security and protection of lives and property of the citizenry in the state, particularly during this rainy season.

He explained that the government has resolved to take further measures to deal with the recent escalating attacks, kidnapping and the criminal levies being enforced on their innocent communities.
